Abstract from a conference
The lesions produced by the non-toxic filtrates consist in liquefaction of the connective tissue, coagulation, and waxy degeneration with fragmentation of the muscle fibres, accompanied by oedema and haemorrhage. These lesions are similar to those produced by a whole culture of Cl. perfringens in the peripheral regions of the gas gangrene infection.
