Résumé

In 2024, papers published in the Canadian Water Resources Journal (CWRJ) explored issues related to water and water resources across geographic areas of the country, and spanning the many disciplines which touch on the ways in which we manage this vital resource. The work that was published touched on many of the most pressing concerns facing Canadian water resources today, including climate change, flooding, water quality issues and loss of aquatic habitat. Authors drew on a range of techniques ranging from large-scale modelling to participant surveys to field data collection, collectively painting a robust and multidimensional picture of Canadian water systems. There was a particular focus this year on the ways in which social and economic systems interact with bio-physical aspects of water management.
