Ruthenium-based complexes currently attract great attention as they hold promise to replace platinum-based drugs as first line cancer treatment i)they were found to exhibit considerable activity against cis-platin resistant cell lines. ii) to induce a lower occurence of side effects in comparison to platinum-based therapeutics and iii) to display their antiproliferative activity via different mechanisms. In this presentation, the preparation, caracterization and biological antimigratory activities as well as novel strategies for their thermoresponsive delivery. Moreover, results regarding preliminary in vivo zebrafish embryos toxicity assessment will also be discussed.
