Résumé
Mobility issues are of perennial importance to municipalities, and many cities today tend to face similar challenges in terms of mobility, such as how to reduce traffic congestion and greenhouse gases, how to increase public-transport services and infrastructure, and how to enable active modes of transport, such as biking. Like other issues, mobility remains a divisive electoral issue, with views influenced by place of residence, the existing state of mobility policy, and ideological positions. In such a context, “understanding why voters support or oppose [mobility] measures is now an important component of transportation planning as the passage of such measures.
