Résumé

Various S1imuli-responsive strategies hold promise for the efficient release of anticancer therapeutics. For instance, thermosensitive linkages such as Diets-Aider cycloadditions have the potential to become powerful tools for this purpose, but have so far only scarcely been examined. Given the tact that furan moities are commonly found in nature and are part of the structure of various therapeutics, it is of great interest to investigate the Diets-Aider cycloaddition between furan-bearing anticancer drugs and maleimide-oontaining moleculeslplatforms, as weil as the ir retro Diets-Aider disassembly at physiological temperatures.

The focus of this presentation will be directed towards the synthesis and characterization of a promising class of anticancer metallic compounds. notably Ru(ll)-arene complexes. and the influence of the introduction of a furan moiety within their structure on their cancer cell antiproliferative activity. Moreover. the unique ability of these furanbearing ruthenium complexes to be easily linked to various agents VIS furan-maleimide Diels-Aider cycloadditions will be discussed, as weil as the impact of these new1y linked agents on the biolog1cal acitivty of the resultant complexes.
